NorthShore offers Urgent Care services for when you need to be seen by a doctor, but the issue is not serious enough to warrant a trip to the emergency room. Cold or flu symptoms, minor cuts or bruising, strains or sprains, fractures, exposures, minor burns or skin rashes, and minor procedures are all symptoms that can be treated in Urgent Care. More serious issues, such as chest pain, shortness of breath, fainting or loss of consciousness, change in vision, change in mental state, weakness on one side or facial drop, garbled speech, deep cuts, bleeding that won’t stop, sudden, severe pain, high fever, fever with rash, seizures, severe or repeated vomiting, and serious burns require a trip to the emergency room.

Our Urgent Care services are offered at our Portage on Scottsdale Street and Lake Station clinics from 5-9pm Monday through Friday and from 8am-12pm on Saturday. Urgent Care is also available at our Hammond location on Saturdays from 8am-12pm.
