School and Sports Physicals at NorthShore

Back-to-school and sports physicals can be included in your childโ€™s annual well-child check and are often the only visits most kids and teenagers have with their pediatrician every year. This annual physical gives the pediatrician a chance to give the child a thorough physical exam and address any emotional,ย developmental, orย social concernsย in a confidential setting. They will also ensure your child is caught up on any required immunizations per the schoolโ€™s request.

Many schools, daycares, and even summer camps require physicals with documentation that children have up-to-date vaccinations and are physically able to participate in activities. NorthShore pediatricians will have accurate records to assist you in filling out any required forms and paperwork.

Additionally, pediatricians can access the medical records and health history in order to complete the necessary sports physical and paperwork needed for your childโ€™s extracurricular activities. Our pediatricians are trained to identify and treat both medical and bone/joint problems that are commonly seen in children and adolescents who play sports.
