Research shows that reading as little as 6 minutes a day can reduce your stress levels by 60%, reducing your heart rate and easing muscle tension. Reading is also good for your emotional health, since a book can make you feel ALL the feels. This session is led by a Peer Support Specialist and will explore quotes and excerpts from a variety of literary channels, including books, poetry, and articles. We will share insights and ideas on how what we read can have a positive impact on overall health and wellness and can become an outlet for us all. Let’s “leaf” through the pages and then “reflect” on what we read, together!
