Nurses Week 2024

Nurses Week 2024

Nurses-Week-980x551

Each year, from May 6th-12th, we recognize nurses for their service to the healthcare community and their dedication to improving the lives of their patients. In honor of National Nurses Week, we encourage you to show your appreciation to the wonderful nurses here at NorthShore!

This year, the American Nurses Association has chosen the theme, “Nurses Make the Difference” to honor the varying roles of nurses and their positive impacts on our lives. It is clear in our community that nurses at NorthShore make a difference as trusted advocates who ensure individuals, families and communities receive quality patient care.

Want to show one of our nurses your appreciation? Here are three things you can do to celebrate National Nurses Week:

  1. Simply say “thank you” – Let them know they’re appreciated through a heartfelt note, kind word or genuine smile.
  2. Make a care basket – Nurses take such good care of patients, return the favor by encouraging them to focus on their own health. Self-care essentials include: a healthy snack or sweet treat, gift certificate or aromatherapy products.
  3. Show support –Take time to support a nursing organization by donating to a fundraiser or scholarship fund.

Take a moment this National Nurses Week to thank our nursing team for their hard work and dedication. Our nurses are some of the best, and it is a great time to remind them of this. Experience how great our nurses are by visiting our website at northshorehealth.org to make an appointment!
