Bone Density Screenings at NorthShore

A bone density screening is what determines if you have osteoporosis, a disease that causes bones to become more fragile and likely to break. We provide in-house bone density screenings at our Lake Station location. Screenings can begin as early as age 50, but most screenings are done after the age of 60. Screenings are then normally performed every 2 years, or as prescribed by your healthcare provider.
