Dr. Mikael Howard chose to become a physician because of a lifelong fascination with pathology, therapeutics, and preventive medicine. Even as a child playing doctor, she found herself wondering what makes people sick and how illness could be treated or prevented. That early curiosity grew into a passion for understanding the process of sickness and healing and ultimately led her to a career in medicine.
As a pediatrician, Dr. Howard’s favorite part of her work is partnering with parents through every stage of their child’s life. She is passionate about supporting the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of her patients as they grow and develop.
Outside of patient care, Dr. Howard is married to her high school prom date, and together they have four children. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling the world, and cooking.
