New Spanish-Speaking Provider

A woman with long hair wearing a black blazer.

From a young age, Mayory Roberts knew that helping her community was the deepest part of her soul. This stemmed from her profound love towards others, which guided her to choose a career in health care.

Beginning her career, Mayory became a board-certified Dentist, but soon after moved to the United States with her son and a suitcase full of dreams. When she learned enough English, she began her journey to become a registered nurse and eventually a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. “The nursing profession goes beyond duty or everyday tasks’, says Mayory. She believes in advancing her medical knowledge and understanding of the whole human being, not only patients’ physical and spiritual needs but their psychological ones as well. As her profession led her to NorthShore Health Center’s new location in Hammond, Mayory is excited to see what this new chapter has in store for her.

NorthShore Health Centers is proud to welcome Mayory as one of our bilingual Family Nurse Practitioners now accepting new patients at our Hammond Clinic. With roughly 24.2% of the population of Hammond, Indiana, speaking Spanish, Mayory will be able to listen and communicate with the community and speak directly to vulnerable individuals who need care.
