Catherine R. Haluska, MSN, PMHNP-BC

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (Behavioral Health)

Specialty: Mental Health

For the majority of her 27-year nursing career in Northwest Indiana, Catherine served as a medical-surgical nurse. While considering graduate school, she worked for a busy family practice clinic where one of her duties involved facilitating behavioral health visits/referrals. That proved to be very difficult and it was this experience that helped her to decide to make behavioral health her graduate degree focus.

During graduate school, Catherine left her long-time place of employment to gain some focused behavioral health experience in a recovery center, and knew immediately she had made the best decision! She is looking forward to many years in this role and doing her part to help fill the provider gaps that exist in the field.

Catherine met her husband, Kenny in high school and they have been married for 27 years. They have three grown, amazing children. They enjoy caring for their home, parrots, two boxers, and poodle. They also enjoy concerts, walks/hikes with their dogs, and plan to begin camping and traveling more often.

"To be able to continue to serve the residents of Northwest Indiana as an advanced practice nurse, providing them with evidence-based, patient-centered care is an honor!"
