Chief Information Officer

Brett has worked in the IT field for over 30 years, during which he has provided contract services and training to GM, Chrysler, St. Vincent’s, IvyTech, and the USPS to name a few. As a leader and team player, he spent 10 years at Lockheed Martin as a Senior Analyst for the DOD and led the PKI Common Access Card (CAC) implementation as the Validation Authority (VA). A few years as an IT Director for a privately-owned bank was spent implementing a cloud-based adaptation of the core application and a fiber net between their branches.

Brett has been with NorthShore Health Centers since 2016 and his first major task was implementing fiber connectivity to NSHC providing a more reliable environment. Additionally, in his role he provides leadership for the continued development of an innovative, robust, and secure information technology environment throughout NorthShore’s numerous locations. He works to develop strong business relationships with vendors and has strong interpersonal abilities to communicate information concepts, explain technology processes in detail and facilitate the interaction of IT staff, vendors, clients, and NorthShore employees. He creates technology policies, guidelines, and procedures for the IT department and the organization.

Brett graduated with distinction earning a Master of Information Systems Management degree and has numerous certificates and certifications demonstrating expertise in Applications, Operating Systems, Networking, and Computer Hardware. As a member of the CIO Visions steering committee, he works with others to propel IT and Cybersecurity insight forward. Brett enjoys IT and the challenges that come from the continuing evolvement of technology. In his free time, he likes to spend time with his family on their small farm enjoying the outdoors.
