Alaina Albanese

A pharmacist by trade, Alaina’s background in pharmacy allowed her the experience of working with care teams to find affordable treatments and overcome patient barriers to treatment with varying populations. Through this work, she found her passion was more towards prevention of gaps in care which led her to join the quality team at NorthShore Health Centers in 2017.

As Chief Quality Officer, Alaina is responsible for the development, utilization and coordination of all activities and functions of quality improvement including developing short/long-term plans for QI strategies and the development of programs to review and evaluate patient care and outcomes. She is also responsible for the implementation and maintenance of clinical standard of care which includes thorough investigation and follow up of any safety events that occur and implementation of evidence-based solutions.

Alaina graduated from Purdue University, College of Pharmacy as a Doctor of Pharmacy. Her training included positions in community, ambulatory and hospital pharmacy, all which led her to a quality improvement role. Alaina is also a member of the Indiana Pharmacy Association and National Community Pharmacist Association.
