The clinic is attached to the east side of Portage High School East, near the
intersection of Highway 6 and Airport Road. Enter school property off of Airport
Road just north of the student parking lot. Head west, then turn left (south) at
the school building. Watch for clinic parking signs.
Portage Township School children who are sick in school can get appropriate care
at our Stacy McKay Facility and often return back to class... A valuable service that
has significantly reduced absenteeism. River Forest and Lake Station school children can come to our Lake Station Health Care Center. Lake Station will have their own teen health center located at Colison High School for the 2011/2012 school year.
High school students across Porter County can obtain college credit through IU Northwest and Ivy Tech and graduate high school with professional certification by attending classes in medical and dental care, and working along side our staff. Students graduate with job ready skills enabling them to pursue employment opportunities and attend college. Professional certifications include Dental Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, and Phlebotomist (just needing to get the Phlebotomy Certificate from the State).
